OSKALOOSA, IA — The Daily Youth Theatre is excited to announce the next session of the after-school program, Return to Neverland! The session begins Sunday, April 14th and culminates in a public showcase on Saturday, May 10th so campers can show what they’ve learned.

“It’s a really great way to experience a twist on a classic story,” said Youth Director Andy McGuire. “We’ll have a lot of fun with it, play some games and work with some of Neverland’s great characters.”

Take to the high seas in this brand new camp for Kindergartners, Neverland Pirates! Have you ever wondered what pirates do when they aren’t pirating? This camp is designed to introduce children to theatre while building valuable communication and teamwork skills. The Kindergarten camp meets on Mondays and Fridays from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and costs $50 for the four-week session.

The Red Camp, for students in 1st – 3rd grade, will perform an original play featuring the Lost Ones from a previous session. It will explore how they come face-to-face with the dragon that originally lived on Neverland Island! Camp starts Tuesday, April 15th and will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and costs $50.

Blue Camp, for students in 4th – 8th grade, will perform an original play that tells the story of how a pirate named James becomes the dastardly Captain Hook. Camp runs every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. with adjustments for days with early outs. Cost for Blue Camp is $70.

Please contact Andy McGuire at youth@georgedaily.org or 672-3795 with questions, or visit www.georgedaily.org/youth for more information. Registration and payment will be accepted until the first day of class. If you have multiple students or would like to discuss need-based financial aid or alternate payment plans, those options are available.
