The Oskaloosa FFA Chapter held their monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. on March 10, 2014 in the Oskaloosa High School Ag Room. In this meeting we talked about the contests we competed in on the 1st of March and also elected officers for the 2014-2015 year.

The Parliamentary Procedure team consisting of Kylee Silliman, Kelsi Tomlin, Kayla Wald, Madison McQueen and Alex Grubbs got a gold rating at District Convention and they are advancing to State. Also advancing to State is Jordan Bemis with Chapter Website, and Bobbi Fogle with Extemporaneous Speaking. Brittany McQueen also received a gold rating in Individual Ag Sales and is the alternate to State. Jordan Bemis also competed in Reporter’s Scrapbook and received a silver rating which does not advance to state.

The 2014-2015 officer team will consist of Bobbi Fogle as President, Jordan Bemis as Vice President, Kayla Wald as Secretary, Madison McQueen as Treasurer, Kylee Silliman as Reporter, and Dalton Kraber as Sentinel. These new officers will be installed at the 77th annual Parent Member Banquet. If you are a past friend or member of the Oskaloosa FFA Chapter and would like to attend this banquet, please RSVP by calling Mr. Striegel at 641-660-1101 or email oskaloosaffa@gmail.com by Monday, March 17th.

I, Jordan Bemis would like to thank the Oskaloosa Community and surrounding areas for reading my articles and following The Oskaloosa FFA Chapter this past year. I am deeply saddened that I must pass on my Reporter duties to Kylee Silliman but she will do a fantastic job and I am on to serve the Chapter as the new Vice President! Thank you again to all for following the Oskaloosa FFA Chapter this past year! We look forward to having another successful year next year!
