Dog Hollow Rendezvous Recap

A wonderful sunset at the Dog Hollow Rendezvous

In it’s 18th year, the Dog Hollow Rendezvous had a rocky start. With the wet weather a new campsite had to be found quickly. Steve Walters of Steven’s Concrete came to the rescue after Caldwell Park was too wet to use.

With 22 families taking part in the event, and over 100 visitors from Iowa, Missouri, and Illinois, the turn out was good considering the quick change of venue and the wet weather.  KCWN of Pella was to broadcast the event and organizer Jim Walker wants to thanks  those that came from town as well to see what they were all about. Watching and learning of frontier living around the early 1800’s. Learning skills and sharing, competing in events such as hawk & knife throw, bow and arrow shoots was enjoyed by those of all ages.
