William Penn University will be welcoming Al Lorenzen as the 2014 Dean’s Convocation keynote speaker on Tuesday, January 21 at 11:00 am in the main gymnasium of the Penn Activity Center. Lorenzen, a former basketball star, currently serves as CEO of Wildwood Hills Ranch, a Madison County Operation that serves at-risk children.

A graduate of the William Penn University College for Working Adults, Lorenzen has also headed the sports division of the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau. Lorenzen played basketball for the University of Iowa from 1984–88, and later played professionally in Europe for six years.

As a successful athlete and business owner, Lorenzen will encourage and hopefully inspire the students of William Penn University as they settle into this spring semester.

Join William Penn staff, faculty, and students in welcoming Al Lorenzen to campus as this year’s keynote speaker at the Dean’s Convocation.
