Maurices® women’s clothing store in the Oskaloosa Penn Central Mall is investing in a new year’s makeover Jan. 8-10. The renovation includes installation of new flooring, which allows a new layout for the store, and new display areas.

“The renovation will help us better serve our customers,” said maurices manager Amanda Loyd. “The new design elements and improved layout will help customers with finding fashions that suit their personal style,” she said.

Store closed Jan. 10
The store will close for one day, January 10, to install new fixtures, but will remain open during normal business hours for the rest of the renovation project. Maurices will host a grand reopening Jan. 11, 10-am-6 pm.

“Shopping is fun for customers when they can see new trends, easily find their size and freshen up staples like jeans, boots, and sweaters,” Loyd said. “The new layout and design, which includes spot lighting and additional seating, will give the store a comfortable, boutique feel,” she said.

The fresh store style will bring the Oskaloosa store more in-line with other maurices stores, and other fashion retailers according to Loyd.

Maurices offers women’s clothing in sizes 1-24, as well as shoes and accessories. According to Loyd, the Oskaloosa store serves women of all ages, but has a target following among women 16-35 years old.

Mall Renovations
“We are thrilled with maurices’ decision to invest in the renovation,” said mall manager Patti Ryan. “In 2013, we saw reinvestment and remodeling at Glory Nails and Mi Ranchito. In addition, we re-opened the west hallway making it more convenient to access stores throughout the Mall.

“A renovation project for our long-time partner, maurices, is a great way to kick-off a new year,” Ryan said.
