Oskaloosa, Iowa – Oskaloosa Area Chamber & Development Group will again be sponsoring Eggs & Issues. The legislative forum gives area residents an opportunity to learn more about state, county, and local issues. The setting is informal and encourages those attending to personally meet and speak to their elected representatives.

The group will meet at Smokey Row on the square in downtown Oskaloosa from 8:30 – 9:30 AM. The dates for these sessions are: January 11, January 25, February 8, February 22, March 8, and March 22. The meetings are covered by the Oskaloosa Herald, Osky News and recorded for viewing by CRI. Coffee is provided by MidWestOne Bank.

The first session will be focusing on local issues and will feature County Supervisor Mike Vander Molen, Oskaloosa Schools Superintendant Russ Reiter, and Mayor David Krutzfeldt. The other sessions will feature Senator Ken Rozenboom, and Representatives Guy Vander Linden and Larry Sheets.

“I look forward to Eggs and Issues every year.” said Mayor Krutzfeldt. “It’s the best opportunity for citizens to become aware and offer their opinions on current issues. And while I think Smokey Row makes delicious coffee, it seems to taste better when there is great conversation happening.”
