Central United Methodist Church

Central United Methodist Church invites you to join us for the Advent season. We have a number of activities taking place over the next few weeks. Sermons over the coming weeks carry the following theme: The Journey: Walking the Road to Bethlehem; Join Mary, Joseph, the angels and shepherds as we experience the birth of Jesus through the eyes of those closest to him.

We will have a multi-generational Christmas Pageant on Sunday, December 15th at 6 PM. It will include vocal, instrumental, dance, and drama. This evening of Christmas fellowship is open to all.

There will be Christmas Eve services at 4:00, 6:30 and 11:00 p.m. Our Communion is open to all. There will also be a soup supper from 5-6:15. This supper gift is to the community, so join us for warm soup and friendship and fellowship during the Christmas Season. If you prefer not to drive in the evening and need transportation, please call the church office.

We will also be hosting a Christmas Dinner at 11:30 on Christmas Day. The menu includes pork loin, green beans, cheesy potatoes and dessert (subject to minor changes). This is our gift to those in the community looking for a place to spend Christmas Day. While reservations are helpful in planning the meal, they are not necessary. If interested, please call 641-672-2564.

Central United Methodist Church is the large stone church located at the corner of A Avenue and Market Street. Church services on Sunday are at 9 and 11:10 a.m. We welcome you to join us at any of the upcoming services.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call the church office 672-2564.
