Honoring the Men and Women of the Military

OSKALOOSA —William Penn University will be honoring those who have served or are currently serving our country during the football game on Saturday, November 2. The Statesmen will take on Olivet-Nazarene for the Veterans Day Game at the Stadium at Lacey Recreation Complex. Admission for veterans and their families will be free.

Area veterans will be raising the flag and joining in the National Anthem salute prior to the 1:00 pm kickoff. A special halftime performance by the WPU Dance Team, the Pride of Penn Marching band and the Oskaloosa High School Band, along with other area performers and student visitors will honor military guests. The National Guard Armory will have their rock climbing wall available to adventurous climbers immediately following the game. The wall and information table will be set up near their tent in the north end zone area.

Come join the William Penn University campus community in honoring our country’s heroes at the special Veterans Day Game on Saturday, November 2, at 1:00 p.m.
