OHS Students Prepare For Homecoming
Oskaloosa, Iowa – School spirit will hit a high point for the year with homecoming upon us, and the students at OHS have a full week of festivities planned.
The theme for the week is “Rock the Warriors”, as OHS will take on Norwalk. Students will be participating in the following:
Monday – Powderpuff Football starts at 8 pm at the Lacey Community Stadium. Powderpuff football has the senior girls in a game of flag football.
Tuesday – Powderpuff Volleyball begins at 7:30 pm in the high school gym. The senior boys take to the volleyball court.
Thursday – The traditional Homecoming Parade starts at 6:30 pm and makes it way through downtown Oskaloosa. The attention then turns to Community Stadium following the parade (approximately 7:30 pm) for the King and Queen Coronation.
Friday – Game day as OHS will face the Norwalk Warriors at the Lacey Community Stadium at 7:30 pm.
*If your organization or group would like to be in the parade please contact Kim Gile at 673-3407. If you will be participating, the Oskaloosa Police Department would like to remind everyone that no candy or any other items may be thrown out to the public. If you are passing out anything it must be handed to them by an adult walking next to your float. If anything is thrown you may be taken out of the parade immediately.
