Camp Gets Championship Ball Rolling for Women’s Golf

Oskaloosa–The Statesmen women’s golf program is coming off a banner year in 2012-2013 and will look to continue that momentum this season.

Head Coach Nik Rule will be returning a good number of players with solid leadership, and also adds a few key players in seeking to build off WPU’s outstanding season last year.

“We are very excited about this year,” Rule said. “We definitely have talent up and down the roster. With the returners we have back and the great recruiting class we brought in, I expect our qualifying and practices to be highly competitive.”

The navy and gold will continue to work throughout camp, preparing for its season-opening tournament on August 30-31 at the Mount Mercy Invitational.
