Oskaloosa, Iowa – How do you help inform nearly 300 new William Penn University students about different business and cultural offerings in the community? With the guidance from the Penn Activity Center, just over 30 local businesses, churches, non-profits and others set up tables to help introduce themselves.

Vicki Jones with Bank Iowa in Oskaloosa was one of those on hand Tuesday. “Bank Iowa feels that it is very important to be a part of the ‘Meet & Greet’ at William Penn University!’. Students come here from all over the world and if we can make their stay here in Oskaloosa an enjoyable one in some way or another, then we have accomplished our mission. That is what being a “Community Bank” is all about!

Also offered was a “picnic” that was served on the other side of the PAC. There will be other events like water-balloons and lazer tag, among others, to help alleviate that stress of the big move to college.
