“Blue Christmas” Worship Service

Oskaloosa, Iowa – This Sunday, Dec. 16 at 4:00 p.m., St. Paul Congregational UCC will hold its annual community “Blue Christmas” worship service. This service acknowledges that this time of year can be difficult because of the death of a loved one, depression, the end of a relationship, unhappy family situations, or for anyone who struggles
with the traditional holiday dazzle and cheer.

Focusing on the comfort that God offers during dark times, the service has a quiet, somber, yet hopeful mood. It includes time for silent meditation and prayer, and a time for people to light candles to remember a loved one or to mark a significant event.

The church is located at 501 High Ave. E. in Oskaloosa. All are welcome!
