GRINNELL, Iowa – After impressive performances over the weekend, Grinnell College’s swimming and diving teams made it a clean sweep for Midwest Conference Performer of the Week honors.

Emma Falley ’15 has earned the MWC Female Performer of the Week award, while Gus Fulgoni ’15 was named the league’s Male Performer of the Week.

Fulgoni, from Kalamazoo, Mich. (Plainswell), was a triple winner for Grinnell at its own Pioneer Classic over the weekend. He took top honors in the 50-yard freestyle (21.88) and as part of the 200 freestyle relay (1:28.46) and 200 medley relay (1:38.45).

His time in the 50 freestyle is best in the MWC this season, as is the 200 freestyle relay team’s clocking. The 200 medley relay team ranks second.

Falley, from Lafayette, Ind. (Jefferson), was a perfect 2-for-2 in diving events while helping Grinnell win the team title at the Pioneer Classic.

Falley claimed three-meter diving on Friday with a score of 350.65 and was first in one-meter diving the following day with a 327.85.
