Middle School Presidential Fitness Award Winners

Oskaloosa Middle School

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Winners of the Presidential Fitness Award have been named at Oskaloosa Middle School for the first trimester of the school year.
To qualify for this award students must meet or exceed the 85th percentile in all five Presidential Fitness tests (Mile run, Push-ups, Sit-ups, Sit & Reach and Shuttle run)

In the Fall of 2011, 17 students achieved this honor; in the Spring of 2012, 13 students and in the Fall of 2012, 24 students achieved this honor. This was the highest number of students achieving this goal in the past 6 years.

These students included:
6th graders: Jackson Blythe, Lindsey Holmberg, Cole Kraber, Emily Lundsford, Hogan Rockhold and Sydney Sarver
7th graders: Josie Bunnell, Ruby Johnson, Anna May Jones, Chris Miller, Vincent Ramirez, Brynn Shaull and Spencer Tucker
8th graders: Kamryn Beers, Sienna DeJong, Willis Knox, Aubrey Miller, Jack Moore, Kaity Richmond, Saydee Smith, Summer Smith, Maycie Stanbro, Leah VanMaanen and Julie Wanders
