Mahaska Wellness Coalition encourages you to take the NEXT STEP

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Registration is now open to join Live Healthy Iowa in the final challenge of 2012. Gather your friends, family members and/or co-workers and take “The Next Step” to your health!

Simply create teams of 2-10 Iowans and compete in a web-based competition tracking the number of ‘steps’ achieved each week. For $10, each participant will receive:

Live Healthy Iowa pedometer
Weekly email containing a motivational message, activity tip and healthy recipe
Personal online tracking page
Unlimited access to recipes, workouts and health information on the LHI website
Opportunity to win team incentives and individual prizes

To get started build a team of 2-10 people, choose a team name and designate a captain. Then sign up at www.livehealthyiowa.org, click on ‘Join Today’ then on ‘Register Your Team’.

If you are part of a business, community or organization planning to have multiple teams participating in this challenge, contact Live Healthy Iowa to request a Group ID.

Pedometers will be shipped to each team captain for distribution to team members. Register by August 28 to receive your pedometers before the challenge begins. Team members added after August 28 will incur a $5 shipping fee.
