Pinocchio is coming to Penn Central Mall
Oskaloosa, Iowa – Pinocchio is coming to Penn Central Mall! This musical theater production written by John Morley will be performed on Friday and Saturday, August 3 and 4, at 6:30 pm and on Sunday, August 5 at 1:30 pm. Tickets may be purchased at Gardner-Collier Jewelry or at the door. Ticket prices are $5 for children 3-16; and $7 for adults.
The cast of 27 children ranging in age from 4 to 11 has been working very hard over the last 5 weeks. If you’ve been in the mall, you’ve probably heard them or seen their pictures up on our wall of “fame”. They’ve been singing and dancing for weeks now and they sure would like to have a great audience to see the fruits of their labors.
This production is the desire of four women, Cynde Briggs, Candace Gerard Slobe, Chris Yarkosky and Beth Brostrom, to reintroduce musical theater to the children of the surrounding area. This truly is “theater on a shoestring”. We had a generous donor cover the costs of scripts and royalties along with the generosity of Penn Central Mall. They truly have made this possible. We hope that you will come and see the show!
