Local Girls Scouts Donate Blankets To MHP Emergency Department

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Girl Scouts donate blankets to MHP Emergency Department – Girl Scouts Troop 183 recently donated fleece blankets they made to Mahaska Health Partnership Emergency Services. According to Troop Leader Theresa Graheck, Oskaloosa Girls Inc. gave $250 donation to each of the girl scout troops in Oskaloosa and challenged them to do a community service project. Her troop discovered the Linus Project, which provides blankets for comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need. The girls donated 32 blankets they made to MHP Emergency Services, the MHP Hospice Serenity House and to Birthright.
