Question of the Week – Did Senator Grassley Go Too Far By Calling President Obama Stupid In A Tweet?

Washington D.C., The debate over a tweet and if it was out of line for a U.S. Senator. Things really started to heat up after David Axelrod, former Senior Adviser to President Barack Obama and heading up Obama’s re-election campaign, called the Senator out on the tweet.

Since then, the controversy has started to heat up.

The original tweet by Grassley read: “Constituents askd why i am not outraged at PresO attack on supreme court independence. Bcause Am ppl r not stupid as this x prof of con law”

Axelrod fired back on his twitter account saying; “Heads up, Sen. Grassley. I think a 6-year-old hijacked your account and is sending out foolish Tweets just to embarrass you!”

A Facebook user commented about the Senators post; since his two accounts are linked, a post to one shows up on the other. “Spell your words out… looks more professional and sends a clearer message… your writing here is awful,” the user wrote.

The debate continues on Twitter with @busterwilson writing; “Heads up Axelrod! Grassley speaking common sense, Americanistic right thinking that most Americans GET! You sir, serve a misguided master.”

While opponents to the Senators comments such as @copperbird7 “#Sen.Grassley your jealousy of the POTUS is so obvious it’s sad. You will never be the man he is.”
