IT’S NOT TOO LATE OT JOIN THE 100 DAY WELLNESS CHALLENGE

Nearly 20 Oskaloosa residents took off on the first of scheduled monthly walks sponsored by the Mahaska Wellness Coalition
The Mahaska Wellness Coalition (MWC) has invited the community to live healthy together and has challenged the neighborhood to meet the goal of 1000 Mahaska residents participating in the 100-day Wellness Challenge. We are almost there! Mahaska currently has over 70 teams (nearly 600 participants). The Oskaloosa elementary and middle school students are also taking part in the wellness challenge, daily recording activity minutes.
It is easy to participate: Build a team of 2-10 people on a team. If you are a single participant, no worries, MWC will assist in team building with you or put you in touch with a team in need of participants. Cost is $20 with online registration including a free t-shirt and magazine subscription!
Don’t forget to walk with us: MWC continures to host monthly community walks on the first Friday of each month. The next walk will be February 3 at noon at Penn Central Mall. Walk participants are encouraged to walk for a minimum of 15 minutes, which normally equates to one mile. Representatives of the MWC will be on hand to meet community participants and answer various wellness questions. Please join the walk on Feb 3 and “Step Along With Us!”
