FAMILIAR FACE JOINS BUTLER-BROWN

Margaret Ratcliff

(OSKALOOSA, Iowa, December 2, 2011) – The Butler-Brown Insurance Agency in Oskaloosa, a division of MidWestOne Insurance Services, Inc., adds a familiar face. Margaret Ratcliff will join the agency as an insurance agent. She and her family have lived in New Sharon for over 20 years and has been the retail managing officer of the Pella location of MidWestOne Bank since 2008. After spending over 20 years in the banking industry, Ratcliff accepted the opportunity to join the very successful organization that Ed Butler and Steve Brown have built. She has previous experience in the insurance industry, working for Financial Guardian Insurance Agency in Urbandale for 10 years.

Her primary responsibilities will be to serve the agencies current clients and expand the services offered in the areas of commercial and agricultural insurance lines. She will officially make the transition on January 16.

Butler-Brown Insurance is an independent insurance agency and represents some of the largest, most successful insurance companies in the industry, such as Cincinnati Insurance Company, EMC, Auto-Owners, Pekin, and United Fire.

“I’m excited to transition to a different line of business, but still stay with such a well respected and community involved company like MidWestOne. As the insurance landscape of Oskaloosa changes, I appreciate the opportunity to learn from two long-term successful agents and the knowledgeable, efficient support staff that they have assembled. I look forward to assisting the Oskaloosa and Pella business community with their commercial insurance needs,” said Ratcliff.
