CEW Set To Be “Handsome”
Oskaloosa, Iowa – CEW Wrestling will once again land itself at the PAC Center on the campus of William Penn University.
Starting at 6 pm Friday, the stars of CEW will once again shine in the ring that Austin built. No, not WWE legend Stone Cold, but CEW founder Austin Bayliss.
Bayliss, a recent graduate of William Penn, has been promoting the sport since he purchased his first wrestling ring with graduation money.
The last time the PAC was invaded by CEW was back in March of this year when former WWE Star Zach Gowan made his presence known. This time is different, and it’s a wrestling legend and some local wrestlers that will have the place rumbling.

Harley Race is going to be at the PAC Center on the Campus of William Penn University Friday night
WWE Hall of Famer Harley Race will be in attendance to meet with fans. Harley will be signing autographs and posing for pictures from 5:30 through the end of the event. Harley is an 8-Time NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Harley has been known as “Handsome Harley Race,” and “King Harley Race.”
Harley Race in CEW: Wrestling fans of the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s will remember Harley as one of the biggest villains of all time. Harley often toured in Iowa in his prime with the likes of Rufus R. Jones and Bulldog Bob Brown. It’s an honor to bring a wrestling legend like Harley Race to CEW and William Penn University.
Former WWE Star Simon Dean will return to Central Empire Wrestling to take on fan favorite Shawn Nautilus. Dean is most notable for his run as Simon Dean with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) as the Hollywood Nova. Dean will also be available for autographs and photos.
But for many of fans, it’s the local wrestlers that are the heart and soul of CEW Wrestling. Two of the biggest names locally are set to square off Friday night.
The former tag team partners, The masked man Superfli and Brian Gott are set to square off. The duo have been tag team champs in the past.
Bayliss spoke of the two. “I remember the two of them coming to me in early 2008 when they wanted to start their wrestling careers. They have improved so much since then and have been very well traveled. I’m looking forward to seeing a great wrestling match.”
Former WWE star Simon Dean will take on local big man Shawn Nautilus. “This match will definitely entertain,” Bayliss said of the matchup.
The finale of the evening will be a 15 man “Royal Rumble” match that will see two of those familiar faces around the PAC Center. Tony Eveland & Levi Tarbell will be joining up to help shake the center.
This is an all ages family event that is sponsored by Wagler Motors.
