William Penn Shut Out 6-0 by Vikings
William Penn (white) faced a tough opponent in Grand View Saturday afternoon
Oskaloosa–In one of those tough, forgettable contests, the Lady Statesmen soccer team was saddled with a 6-0 setback to Grand View in Midwest Collegiate Conference play Saturday.
William Penn (1-6-1, 0-2 MCC) was outshot 23-3 and had just one shot on goal, that by Marci Smith (Fr., Runnells, Southeast Polk HS).
Laura Gentry (So., Fruitland, Idaho, Fruitland HS) and Ali Parks (So., Omaha, Neb., Central HS) both recorded three saves in the loss.
Next: The Lady Statesmen conclude their five-game homestand Wednesday by hosting Ashford in MCC action at 5 p.m.
