Provo Sacks Beyond Sports Award

Oskaloosa–Travis Provo (So., Leesville, La., Leesville HS) gave the Waldorf offense fits last Saturday and for his efforts he was named a Defensive Player of the Week by Beyond Sports Network.

Provo helped William Penn (4-0, 2-0 MWL) to a 68-10 win over Waldorf.

The sophomore tallied three tackles, two sacks, and a fumble recovery in the victory. William Penn, winners of seven in a row, limited the Warriors to only 125 yards of total offense.

For the season, Provo has seven tackles, a team-best three sacks, one pass breakup, and one fumble recovery.

The award is the second given to the football program this fall as Joseph Frye (Fr., Detroit, Mich., Highland Park HS) claimed a defensive laurel last week as well.
