Eddyville-Blakesburg Schools

Great match between both schools. Davis County was the better team that night. We passed the ball well, served well, but made too many hitting error. Our shot selections were not consistent to get points. The girls worked hard the entire match. We struggled in the 4th game and got down by 12 on the score board, but the girls rallied back with determination, but we were too far behind to catch up. I give them so much credit in their ability to fight back as hard as they did. Sometimes in rally score there is always that chance, but when you get too far behind it is pretty difficult to catch up and still give up points during that catch up. The girls learned a lot from this match that will help them become stronger as a team and individuals. The have set some goals for themselves and the team for practices and their next match on Tuesday Sept. 27 at home with Albia. We will take that moment of defeat from last night and make it a positive experience to grow and get better. These girls have a lot of talent during moments of the match. Finding the consistency in everyone will be our commitment as we move forward to the next match.
