Oskaloosa, Iowa – YMCA Oskaloosa youth football has begun its fall season for youth flag and tackle football. First and Second grade play flag 3rd-6th play tackle at the Lacey Recreation Complex on Saturdays. “I have one child playing on this field in flag football, one in flag on the next field and one in tackle on the other side” said one mom out watching. When asked how she watched them all she replied “I just kind of plant myself in the middle and turn my head!” With about 250 spectators and 65 players the youth football fields are the place to be Saturday mornings!
