The Oskaloosa Water Department Continues Flushing The Water System Of Oskaloosa Today

A note from the Oskaloosa Municipal Water Department reads, "Our customers may notice low water pressure or even discolored water. If you experience discolored water, please refrain from doing laundry. There is a possibility that it will stain your clothing".

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Oskaloosa Water Department continues it’s project of flushing the water system of Oskaloosa. Today, one crew member will be working on B, C, and D Avenues West from North E Street out to the Wal-Mart area. The other crew member will be working from 5th Avenue East to 1st Avenue East in the area from South Market to South 9th Street and then 1st and 2nd Avenues West from Market to around the Penn Central Mall area.

Yesterday, one crew member started on A Avenue at Market Street and worked east out to North 9th and then come back on High Avenue, working that from the east side of town back to the west side of town. The other crew member will started at North D and C Avenue west and started moving south to 6th Avenue west and then followed 6th over towards the area north of the Clow Machine Shop on South 2nd.

On Monday, the department started north of town by the plant and start working in that direction. The other member will started at the North Tower and begin working over towards the South Tower following F Ave west and then dropping down to B Ave east over to North and South 11th Street along the way to the South Tower.
