Visitation: will be held from noon to 6 p.m., Tuesday, September 06, 2011 at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel. The family will be present from 9 a.m. to service time on Wednesday to greet visitors.
Funeral Service: 10 a.m., Wednesday morning, September 07, 2011 at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel with Rev. John DeBoef of the Hill Top Chapel in What Cheer officiating.
Interment: Woods Cemetery near Lacey, Iowa.

Beulah passed away Sunday evening at the Pella Regional Health Center.

Beulah Virgie Jones, daughter of Clarence and LaVanda Hughes Dickerson, was born December 5, 1940 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Beulah grew up in Oskaloosa and was united in marriage to Marvin Jones, May 23, 1959, in Lancaster, Missouri. Beulah and Marvin made their home near Rose Hill where Marvin farmed. In 1989 they moved to Oklahoma. While in Skiatook, Okla., Beulah earned her G.E.D. The couple later moved to What Cheer and then Pella. After Marvin passed away in 2008, Beulah moved back to What Cheer to live with her daughter and son-in-law. Beulah was a past member of the Hilltop Chapel in What Cheer. She enjoyed fishing, playing the Nintendo Wii, and crocheting. She later enjoyed FaceBook and playing FarmVille with her children, Jeff and Tammy.

Her family includes her six sons and daughters-in-law: Eric and Beverly Jones of New Sharon, Doug and Denise Jones of Sigourney, Dwayne and Melinda Jones of New Sharon, James Jones of Cushing, OK., Jeff and April Jones of Tulsa, OK., Rick and Treca Jones of Pawhuska, OK., a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Craig Alexander of What Cheer; good friends, Elaine and Brice Puyear of Tipton, Iowa; 22 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a sister, Alberta Jones of Oskaloosa.

Besides her parents and her husband Marvin, Beulah was preceded in death by four brothers: Roger, Lawrence, Eugene and Alan Dickerson.

Memorials may be made to the family.
