Circus stops in town
Family Fun Circus made a one night stop over in Oskaloosa last evening with 2 performances at the Southern Iowa Fairgrounds. Camels and horses, along with other various animals including llamas and donkeys all performed. Clowns, and acrobats entertained the crowd along with a fire breather and a juggling act. The shows at 5:30 and 8 attracted children and parents from the local area as one last event before the school year started.
Youth Reporter C.Allsup had this to say “On Wednesday August 18, 2010 there was a circus held at the Southern Iowa Fairgrounds in Oskaloosa. Charge was free for kids with coupon and $14.00 for adults. There were Liberty Horses, camels, zonkey (rare donkey/zebra mix), mini ponies and burrows. Along with a pony ride there was also a human canon ball.”
