Harkin Announces Over $360,000 for Oskaloosa Airport
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) today announced that Oskaloosa Municipal Airport will receive a $369,053 grant for rehabilitation that will preserve access to the airport. The funding comes from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Harkin is a member of the Appropriations subcommittee that funds the DOT.
“Access to our local airports is essential for boosting travel throughout the state,” Harkin said. “The repairs made to the Oskaloosa airport will benefit the community and allow local Iowans to enjoy safe travel.”
