Oskaloosa City Band Performs – Brighton Beach

The Oskaloosa City Band during one of the weekly performances held June until August every Thursday at 8:00 p.m.
Oskaloosa, Iowa – The smell of fresh popcorn, the cool refreshing snow cone or ice tea accompany the sound of birds as they swoop through the sky.
Thursday nights from June until August, starting around 8:00 p.m. the Oskaloosa City Band continues the tradition started back in 1864. Today, the horns still sound bright and crisp all the while the drums keep the beat, just as they did all those years ago.
What seems to be a resurgence in the popularity of the band over the years, bringing back the carnival feel of days gone by. Kids playing, car horns honking in appreciation of a well played song. If you have never made it to the square in downtown Oskaloosa during the summer months, you still have time this year to join them in continuing this great tradition. Join the Oskaloosa City Band on Facebook or watch Osky News for more concert info.
