Mahaska County Community Foundation grants $20,000 to MCRF for recreation projects underway. $10,000 was received for the Skate Park project to be developed this season. The Skate park will be built by Spohn Ranch design company and will be one part of an urbane park area downtown Oskaloosa. Another $10,000 went to a project that Oskaloosa Rotary Club is planning and developing for a trail head to be located at Hwy 163 and Ave E cross streets, next to the new Nazarene Church. The trail head will have eight parking spaces and a gazebo for resting. Pictured are Madonna Bowie from MCCF; Alan Fender and Tim Kurtz from Rotary.
