GRINNELL’S FLETCHER, HERONEMUS NAMED TO NATIONAL FOOTBALL FOUNDATION HAMPSHIRE HONOR SOCIETY

GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s Ryan Fletcher ’11 and Marc Heronemus ’11 have been named members of the 2011 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society.

The society is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who maintained a 3.2 GPA or better. A total of 671 players from 241schools qualified for membership in the society’s fifth year.

Both players were All-Midwest Conference performers in 2010. Fletcher, a linebacker from Brookfield, Wis. (Brookfield Central), ranked sixth in the conference in tackles with 87 and seventh in tackles for loss with 10.5. He also had 2.5 sacks.

Heronemus, a defensive back from Topeka, Kan. (Topeka), was also an All-MWC selection in 2009. He ranked ninth in the conference in pass breakups with seven in 2010 while also coming up with 59 tackles and three interceptions.
