GRINNELL’S JUAN CARLOS PEREZ IS NAMED MWC MEN’S TENNIS PERFORMER OF THE WEEK AGAIN

GRINNELL, Iowa – For the second time this season, Grinnell College’s Juan Carlos Perez ’11 has been named the Midwest Conference Men’s Tennis Performer of the Week.

 

Perez, a senior from Quito, Ecuador (Martim Cerere), was a perfect 11-0 during the Pioneers’ spring break trip to Orlando, Fla.

The region’s third-ranked singles player won all five singles matches, including victories against regionally-ranked opponents from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Oglethorpe University and Luther College, and was 6-0 with Dmitriy Glumov ’11 in doubles play. Perez is now 18-1 in singles play and 15-2 with Glumov in doubles.
