King, Branstad Discuss Issues Facing Iowa

Washington D.C.- Congressman Steve King (R-IA) released the following statement after meeting with Governor Terry Branstad this morning. During the meeting, Branstad provided King with a briefing on the current state of Iowa’s budget. The two leaders also spoke about a number of pending matters affecting Iowa on both the state and federal level.

“Governor Branstad and I had a productive conversation that touched on many of the state and federal issues currently facing Iowa,” said King. “His experience has allowed him to take charge immediately, and I am confident that Iowans are being well served by his leadership. I am actively working with the Governor to tackle the serious issues facing both the state and the nation.”
