Oskaloosa 7th Grade Volleyball B Team Battles Back Against Osky Christian

The Oskaloosa seventh grade volleyball B team showed resilience Monday night during a cross-town matchup against Oskaloosa Christian at home.

After dropping the first two sets by identical scores of 25-17, the Osky girls responded with strong play and battled back to win the next two sets. Oskaloosa took the third set 25-19 and followed with a 25-18 victory in the fourth set.

The comeback showed improvement and balance after a difficult match in Ottumwa. The team’s effort and ability to respond after falling behind was a highlight of the night.
Caitlyn Parker led the team statistically with five aces and three kills. Naomi VandeKrol followed with four aces and two kills.

Brielle Roy-Harrison contributed four aces and three digs while providing strong effort across the court. Elizabeth Chavez added three aces and two kills, while Averi Sparks recorded one ace and two kills.

Rye Rummans added an ace, and Avery Webb recorded a kill. Coaches noted that every player contributed in some way during the match.

The seventh grade B team will continue its season with a road trip to Norwalk, which will be the team’s longest road trip of the year.

The Osky girls continue to build confidence and improve as the season moves forward.
