Southern Iowa Speedway Set For World of Outlaw Late Model Invasion

Oskaloosa, Iowa: The outstanding Southern Iowa Speedway 2026 season will continue with another major special racing event coming to the Mahaska County Monster 1/2 mile dirt track on the Southern Iowa Fairgrounds. Thanks to Penny and Jeff Hoker of Hoker Promotions and Ricky and Brenda Kay of K Promotions the very best traveling superstars of Late Model Racing will be in Oskaloosa on Wednesday, August 26th for the “Cornbelt Showdown”. The Superstars of the “World of Outlaws” will battle it out on the super fast 1/2 mile dirt track gunning for the $12,000 first place prize money. Bobby Pierce of Oakwood, Illinois is the current “WoO” Late Model point leader and he will be challenged by North Carolina driver Nick Hoffman, Texas standout, Tyler Erb, New York Hotshoe, Tim McCreadie, California native Ethan Dotson, Florida up and comer, Trey Mills all of these out of state superstars are expected to be challenged by a long list of Iowa drivers that includes 5th in points, Ryan “The Reaper” Gustin of Marshalltown, brothers Chad and Chris Simpson, Tyler Bruehning, Dallon Murty and many more. The “Cornbelt Showdown” is an inaugural event for the Southern Iowa Speedway and is a can’t miss night of racing action for the outstanding fans of the Central Iowa Premier racing facility.
The Southern Iowa Speedway will offer infield party pass parking with the Infeld opening at 4 pm. Fans will be allowed to bring vehicles into the infield but no scaffolding or high rises above 8 foot will be allowed. Grandstands will open at 4 pm, general admission tickets and infield party passes can be purchased by logging onto the World of Outlaws website and clicking on tickets for the Cornbelt showdown. Tickets for the top five rows of the grandstand can be reserved in advance by calling Petersen Insurance at 563-374-1244. General admission tickets will be available the day of the show.
In addition to the High Powered Super Late Models the Modifieds, Vanderbuilt Stock Cars and the Copeland Auto Body Hobby Stocks will also be in action racing for $1,000 to win on this very special night of racing. Camping is available on the Southern Iowa Fairgrounds and spots can be reserved by stopping into the Fair Office in the center of the grounds.
