William Penn Ties Highest Ranking in School History at No. 4
Oskaloosa–The Statesmen men’s lacrosse team used its best postseason finish ever to make a big jump in the standings as the NAIA released its postseason top-10 poll Thursday.
WPU (13-4) closes the 2026 season at No. 4 with 46 points. It marks the 19th-consecutive poll in which the navy and gold have been ranked, while the ranking ties the highest in program history (twice in 2024 campaign).
The Statesmen reached the NAIA National Championship Semifinals last week.
The Heart of America Athletic Conference has three representatives in the poll with Benedictine at No. 9 and St. Ambrose No. 10. Of note, there was no receiving votes section.
National champion Keiser (Fla.) grabs the top spot with 60 points and all six first-place votes. Madonna (Mich.) and SCAD Savannah (Ga.) are second and third, respectively, while Aquinas (Mich.) is fifth.
