WPU Slides to No. 10 in Final Ranking

Oskaloosa–The Statesmen men’s volleyball team will now wait to see if its body of work is strong enough to warrant a postseason berth as the NAIA released its final top-15 regular season poll Wednesday.

William Penn (18-7, 14-5 Heart) lost one position from the last rating, down to No. 10 with 49 points. The navy and gold have been ranked in all seven polls (including the preseason ranking) this season.

Seven Heart of America Athletic Conference’s schools are in the rating, led by new No. 1 Park. Mount Mercy (No. 4), Missouri Valley (No. 5), and No. 11 Grand View are also in the top 15. Additionally, Dordt (No. 18) and Missouri Baptist (No. 21) are in the receiving votes area.

Following Park, which holds all six first-place votes, The Master’s (Calif.) is now second. Saint Xavier (Ill.) is third to finish off the top five.

WPU has to wait until April 21 to find out if it has been selected to the NAIA National Championship.
