WPU Holds at No. 5

Oskaloosa–The Statesmen men’s lacrosse team retains its national positioning as the NAIA released its third top-10 poll Wednesday.

WPU (4-1, 1-0 Heart) is again No. 5, but has picked up four points since the last rating (currently with 43). It marks the 16th-consecutive poll in which the navy and gold have been ranked.

The Heart of America Athletic Conference has three representatives in the poll with two in the receiving votes section. Columbia is 11th unofficially and Benedictine is 12th unofficially.

Madonna (Mich.) continues to be first nationally with 60 points and all six first-place votes. The rest of the top five remains the same with Keiser (Fla.), Aquinas (Mich.), and Reinhardt (Ga.) being second, third, and fourth, respectively.

The Statesmen travel to Dubuque Wednesday to face Clarke in Heart action at 4 p.m.
