WPU Improves to Ninth in NAIA

Oskaloosa–Riding its longest winning streak of the year, the Statesmen men’s volleyball team has made a positive move in the standings as the NAIA released its fourth top-15 poll Wednesday.

William Penn (15-5, 11-4 Heart) has jumped up one spot to No. 9 in the nation with 60 points.

Nine of the Heart of America Athletic Conference’s schools are ranked, led by No. 2 Park. Mount Mercy (No. 4), Missouri Valley (No. 6), and Dordt (No. 14) are also in the top 15. Additionally, Grand View (No. 16), Morningside (No. 19), Ottawa (Kan.) (No. 20), and Missouri Baptist (No. 22) are in the receiving votes area.

The Master’s (Calif.) is still first in the country with 100 points and all seven first-place votes, while Saint Xavier (Ill.) is third and Campbellsville (Ky.) is fifth to wrap up the top five.

William Penn hosts Graceland Friday in Heart play at 7 p.m.
