Kolawole Wins League’s Weekly Award
Oskaloosa–Esther Kolawole (So., Akure, Nigeria, Kinesiology) enjoyed a dominating return to the mat en route to being named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Wrestler of the Week, presented by Musco Lighting.
Kolawole claimed her first weekly honor of 2025-2026 (second of her career) after winning the 138-pound title at the Midland Open last Saturday.
The sophomore, who had not wrestled for William Penn since December 3, rolled to a 5-0 record that featured five 10-0 technical fall wins. She defeated the No. 3 and No. 10 ranked wrestlers to pick up the crown.
Kolawole is now 7-0 on the season.
The award is WPU’s fourth of the year.
