WPU Teams in Top 15 in Second NAIA RPI
Oskaloosa–The William Penn bowling teams hold top-15 positions as the NAIA has announced its second RPI rankings recently.
The Statesmen women are currently 11th in the NAIA with an RPI of .605, while Judson (Ill.) is first at .649. WPU is also 23rd among schools from all divisions in the USBC standings with 2,727 points. Lawrence Tech (Mich.) is heading the country with 4,500 points.
The William Penn men are 15th within the NAIA RPI standings at .576; Mount Mercy is No. 1 at .680. In the USBC, the navy and gold are 53rd with 2,132 points, while Purdue (Ind.) is in first (4,717 points).
Ashley Gorman (So., Stillwater, Minn., Exercise Science) tops the WPU women with a 190.5 average (22 games), while a total of four individuals average over 180 pins.
Gavin Unger (Fr., Columbus, Neb., Engineering Technology) holds the best average for the Statesmen men at 199.8 (25 games). Seven Statesmen average over 190 pins per game.
