Everett Earns First Career POW Honor

Oskaloosa–Amir Everett (Sr., Minneapolis, Minn., Sports Management) is now the owner of a school record after his performance last weekend, and for his efforts he was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week Monday, presented by Musco Lighting.

Everett, a first-time recipient of the weekly laurel, helped lead William Penn to a 59-20 victory over Graceland last Saturday.

Everett hauled in seven balls against the Yellowjackets, finishing with 260 yards and two touchdowns. The senior’s 260 yards are a new single-game program record.

All seven of his catches went for double figures, including a long of 80 yards. His scoring receptions went for 80 and 66 yards, the second of which broke the record.

For the year, Everett has recorded 39 catches for 884 yards and seven touchdowns, all team highs. He has gone over 100 yards receiving three times this fall.

The award is the fifth for WPU this year.
