WPU Improves to No. 20 as Top-20 Heart Clash of the Week Awaits
Oskaloosa–As it prepares for its biggest test of the season, the Statesmen football team enjoyed a significant bump nationally with the NAIA announcing its third top-25 poll Monday.
William Penn (5-0, 1-0 Heart North) is now No. 20 with 151 points. It is the highest ranking for the program since also being 20th on November 7, 2016.
Four programs represent the Heart of America Athletic Conference, including No. 1 Grand View, No. 3 Benedictine, and No. 23 MidAmerica Narene.
Keiser (Fla.) is second in the country, while Morningside is fourth and Friends (Kan.) is fifth to complete the top five.
WPU will host Grand View in Oskaloosa Saturday at 2 p.m. The game is the Heart Clash of the Week.
