WPU Starting Spring Receiving Votes
Oskaloosa–The Statesmen women’s golf team continues to receive votes nationally as the NAIA released its third top-25 poll Thursday.
William Penn dropped two spots from the second rating, now sitting unofficially 34th with eight points. The squad has been in the receiving votes section the entire season.
WPU is one of two Heart of America Athletic Conference programs in the poll, joining Park, which is unofficially 29th in the nation.
British Columbia is the NAIA’s new No. 1 with 462 points and 11 first-place votes. Keiser (Fla.), with the final six first-place ballots, is now second, while SCAD-Savannah (Ga.), Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), and Marian (Ind.) complete the top five.
William Penn opens its spring campaign in Kodak, Tenn. Thursday and Friday at the Island Pointe Intercollegiate hosted by Defiance.
