Statesmen Start 2025 at No. 5
Oskaloosa–The William Penn men’s lacrosse team is expected to again fight for a national title as the NAIA released its preseason top-10 poll Wednesday.
WPU, which was 16-3 last year (4-1 Heart), enters the season at No. 5 with 49 points. It is the highest preseason ranking in program history, while it is also the seventh-straight poll in which the navy and gold are ranked.
William Penn leads a group of three Heart of America Athletic Conference programs in the ranking. Benedictine is unofficially 11th, while St. Ambrose is 14th.
