Beaver Claims POW Award
Oskaloosa–D’Artagnon Beaver (Sr., Rockford, Ill., Human Services) broke a school record to earn Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week honors Monday.
A one-time weekly award recipient in outdoor track and field, Beaver collected his first cross country laurel with his performance at the Central Invitational last Friday.
At the season-opening event, the senior placed third out of 100 competitors with a time of 19:10 on the 6K course. His time broke the school’s 6K record that had stood since 2016.
The honor is the team’s first this year.
