GRINNELL’S BRUS IS MWC PERFORMER OF THE WEEK FOR 3RD TIME THIS SEASON
GRINNELL, Iowa – For the third time this season, Grinnell College’s Michael Brus ’14 has been named the Midwest Conference Men’s Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week.
Brus, from Davenport, Iowa (North), had a dominating performance at the Grinnell College Invitational over the weekend, recording four Midwest Conference-leading efforts.
Among those were winning performances in the 100-yard freestyle (47.94), 200 backstroke (1:56.07) and 400 individual medley (4:15.58), as well as the 500 freestyle (4:45.30) in which he finished second. Brus also guided four Pioneer relays to runner-up finishes.
The Women’s Performer of the Week is Monmouth College’s Kendra Kuehl.
