Green Again Honored by MCC

Oskaloosa–Gabriel Green (So., Anniston, Ala., Anniston HS) is enjoying a great start to his sophomore campaign and for his efforts last weekend he was named Midwest Collegiate Conference Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, announced by the league office today.

Green, now a two-time honoree this winter (fourth total AOW of career, third indoor), improved on his national-qualifying 200-meter dash time with a finish of 21.11 seconds at the Iowa State Open Saturday.  The mark is good for the NAIA’s ‘A’ or automatic-qualifying standard.

The sophomore, who placed seventh in the 200, also competed in the 400, finishing 11th overall with a time of 50.54 seconds.

It is the third honor for Penn’s indoor track and field programs this year.
