Statesmen of the Week: Willie Anderson and Ally Stewart

Oskaloosa–Men’s basketball player Willie Anderson (Jr., Norristown, Pa., Applied Computer Science) and women’s basketball player Ally Stewart (Sr., Victoria, Australia, Sports Management) have been named Statesmen of the Week for the week of January 8-14, presented by Gardner-Collier Jewelry.

Anderson topped the navy and gold bench versus Central Methodist with 19 points last Wednesday. He made eight field goals and connected on three free throws as well. The junior also managed four rebounds and two assists against the Eagles.

Stewart paced William Penn against Central Methodist last Wednesday, scoring 13 points on the night. She made four of her seven three-point attempts and also knocked down a free throw. The senior added three rebounds and tallied an assist in the contest.
